If you decide to change to an electric heating system with Michel Guimont Entrepreneur Électricien in the Greater Montreal, you could be eligible for the RénoVert tax credit.

RÉNOVERT, WHAT IS IT?
​
Revenu Québec has created this temporary tax credit in order to encourage homeowners to make eco-friendly renovations. The renovations must be recognized as having a positive impact on either energy efficiency or the environment.
​
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RÉNOVERT?
​
Owners and co-owners who have made recognized eco-friendly renovations for their primary residence. Some types of housing are eligible for the program provided they were built before the 1st of January 2016:

An apartment in a building held in divided co-ownership (condominium)

An apartment in a residential duplex or triplex

A single-family home
-
A permanently installed prefabricated house or mobile home
-
A cottage (inhabited all year by its owner)
The renovation work must have been done by a qualified contractor (such as Michel Guimont Entrepreneur Électricien) under a contract entered into after March 31, 2017, and before April 1, 2018.

The tax credit corresponds to 20% of your eligible expenses exceeding $2,500 paid before January 1, 2019. You can claim a maximum amount of $10,000.
